One of the many beautiful aspects of yoga is one's ability to practice any time, any
place with minimal equipment.
To make your experience more comfortable
in class we suggest:
a. yoga mat - This
flat, non-slip surface helps keep your feet from sliding out of position and provides comfort to the knees.
We
always have a few extra mats available on a first-come basis for those who do not yet have their own.
b.
strap - Straps are provided to help extend one's flexibility in
warm-ups and some postures.
c. blanket - The blanket is used to cover up during relaxation and for modifications, when needed, in
seated postures. If you have a favorite flat style or woven blanket, please bring it. A stack of community blankets is
available for class use.
d. blocks
- Wooden blocks are provided for all participants, used to extend reach or modify positions when necessary.
e.
water - We strongly recommend drinking clear water after class
to flush out toxins released.
f. zafu -
Some of our students bring this specially designed pillow for meditation. A folded blanket can be used.
